The Speaker addressed the House
as follows:-
I beg to inform the House that I
have today laid upon the Table a Special Report, entitled
"Looking Forward: The Environmental Bill of Rights", from the
Environmental Commissioner of Ontario (Sessional Paper No.
379).

With unanimous consent, on
motion by Mr. Duncan,
Ordered, that the House adjourn
during pleasure and that Ernie Eves, former Premier and MPP for
Dufferin-Peel-Wellington-Grey and Parry Sound-Muskoka, be invited
on to the floor and, following remarks of up to 5 minutes from
each recognized Party, that he be permitted to address the
assembled Members.
The Speaker then adjourned the
House during pleasure.
The Premier, the Honourable
Dalton McGuinty, the Member for Lanark-Carleton, Mr. Sterling,
and the Leader of the New Democratic Party, Mr. Hampton,
expressed their welcome and the appreciation of the Members and
the people of Ontario for Mr. Eves' many years of service as a
Parliamentarian.
Mr. Eves addressed the Members
assembled.
The Speaker then called the
House to order.
