The Legislative Assembly of Ontario's website is a leading resource for historical legislative records such as bills, transcripts, status of business documents, and past MPP information.

Explore historical bills

All versions of Ontario bills from the 36th Parliament, 1st Session (starting in September 1995) onwards are available on the All bills page. Bills from earlier Parliaments can be accessed through public and university libraries.

Access documents

View daily House documents including Hansard, Orders and Notices, and Votes and Proceedings from 1975 to present. Select a Parliament starting from the 29th Parliament to see the documents.

Another way to view past Hansards is through the Hansard search tool. Search by keyword, type of business, session, speaker, topic, and date range to find House transcripts starting from the 29th Parliament in 1974.

Browse committee documents such as transcripts and reports from the 35th Parliament in 1990 to the present.

Final Status of Business and Journals documents are also available. Find Journals going back to the 1st Parliament in 1867 and Final Status of Business documents after they were introduced in the 32nd Parliament in 1981.

Research past MPPs

To learn about former MPPs, visit All MPPs for a list of members dating back to the 1st Parliament in 1867. Find the history of their riding representation, career details, and party affiliations.
